SAP Technical Architect

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Support SAP Environment in design, sizing, installation, deployment, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting as needed.

Exposure:

• HW platform:
• IBM Power 8 Models S824 & E870 running Linux & HANA DB.
• Flash Storage System
• SAP ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, BI, FIORI, HYPRIS, SCM, HCM, PO/PI & SOLMAN
• Azure IaaS technologies and services
• SAP Landscape:

IDES, Development, Sand-Box & Production

Responsibilities:

• Manage SAP Platform technical architecture:
  • Execution architecture – sizing, Installation, Deployment, Configuration, Troubleshooting for the SAP Landscape
  • Operations architecture – Backup and Recovery, Disaster recover, System availability etc.,
  • Infrastructure architecture – Virtualization, Partitioning, System networks etc.,
• Perform all work effort relating to SAP Basis activities and Technical architecture components.
• Define and manage sizing of the SAP solution and managing the process with the hardware provider or hosting provider.
• Analyze SAP system performance, database performance, system health checks across all SAP systems, tune system when necessary, perform bottleneck analysis, and work with development to resolve issue.
• Maintain, upgrade and support latest SAP systems versions, which are: ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, BI, HCM, FIORI, HYPRIS, SCM, PO and SOLMAN all running on cloud/on prim with Linux OS and HANA DB.
• Manage all SAP technical changes, involved in planning and testing of the DR.
• Provide Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of Computer Science, Engineering or Information technology or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 1 to 3 years of Experience in SAP Technical Architecture or SAP Basis.

Job specific Skills:

• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations and management of technology.
• Experience with Linux SUSE administration & IBM Power 8 platforms are strongly desired.
• Experience in sizing SAP NetWeaver and HANA workloads with regards to Compute and Storage.
• Experience of implementation scenarios for SAP on Linux & HANA DB, Apply that to workloads in Azure.
• Experience in managing Basis functions and Solution Manger Projects.
• Experience with HANA DB
• Proven troubleshooting techniques within the SAP Support System.
• Expertise with SAP Solution Manager & SAP Fiori.
• Ability to translate client requirements into a feasible solution.
• Very good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• Self initiative & Fast learner.
• Very Good verbal & written English communication skills.
• Flexible to work overtime or out of regular working hours.
