• Develop implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and Egyptian law regulations as well as brand standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities including guest rooms public areas and backofhouse areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with department heads to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain records of safety inspections incidents and training sessions and prepare reports for management as required.
• Provide safety training to employees including new hires and ongoing refresher courses covering topics such as emergency procedures fire safety and proper use of equipment.
• Coordinate with external agencies such as fire departments and health inspectors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and respond to inquiries or inspections.
• Investigate accidents injuries and property damage incidents and develop recommendations to prevent their recurrence.
• Manage the hotels emergency response plan including conducting drills and ensuring staff readiness to respond to emergencies effectively.
• Monitor security systems such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to detect and deter suspicious activity.
• Stay informed about developments in safety and security practices and regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in health and safety management in a 5star hotel.
• Prior experience in preopening is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of H&S security systems emergency response procedures and crisis management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with Egyptian laws and regulations related to hotel H&S.
• Certification in H&S management is a plus.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Native Arabic speaker and fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
