Role Description

Recording and monitoring a patient's vital signs. Promoting well-being by educating patients on self-care techniques. Consulting with doctors and other medical staff to determine the optimal treatment plan. Administering over-the-counter and non-intravenous medications

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• The O.R. Nurse performs the role of Circulating Nurse.
• She/he functions as a patient advocate for the anesthetized patient.
• The O.R. Nurse is responsible for providing safe and effective care to the surgical patient while meeting their physiologic and functional needs.
• Interacts with those within any of the following populations: pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and with those of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level; must be able to effectively interact appropriate to individual's intellectual level and physical ability.

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Bachelor degree in nursing.
• MA state licensure as a registered nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
• Basic computer skills.
• Professional, friendly attitude.

7am to 3:30 PM

$3000 to $3200 (weekly gross)
