Project Engineer & Document Controller

Job Description

• Prepare the required drawings for small – medium projects
• Prepare the required tables for the projects
• As portfolio custodian, prepares, updates and maintains all facility documentation and drawings.
• Communicates, directly or in liaison with Supervisor (depending upon scope of project), with 3rd party vendors, contractors and consultants to ensure that project specifications and deadlines are met effectively
• Reviews, from the design and compliance angles, in cooperation with direct supervisor, designs submitted by 3rd parties to ensure that they are in line with business requirements and principal guidelines.
• Assists with the tracking of each project's progress, as per instructions given by the Projects Manager, as well as the projects team.
• Supports the team as "receiving officer" to control that project-related items are delivered in the proper quantity and quality, as well as assigned project guidelines, in multiple locations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or any other related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Document Control Specialist on Transit / Infrastructure projects.
• Must be organized, highly motivated and capable of completing assignments with minimum supervision
