About the Job

We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Procurement Intern to join our team. As a Procurement Intern you will assist our procurement department in various tasks related to sourcing purchasing and supplier management. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in procurement processes and contribute to the efficient operation of our organizations supply chain.

Responsibilities
1. Assist in Sourcing Activities:
Support procurement Officer in identifying potential suppliers obtaining quotes and conducting market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

2. Purchase Order Management:
Aid in the creation processing and tracking of purchase orders through our procurement system. Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase order documentation.

3. Supplier Communication:
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Foster positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

4. Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining inventory levels by monitoring stock levels reconciling discrepancies and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to replenish supplies as needed.

5. Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze procurement data to identify trends track key performance indicators and support decisionmaking processes within the procurement team.

6. Documentation and RecordKeeping:
Maintain organized records of procurement activities including contracts purchase orders invoices and correspondence with suppliers.

7. Process Improvement:
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives within the procurement department. Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

8. CrossFunctional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments such as finance operations and logistics to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational objectives.



Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards professional development.
  • Prior experience or course work in procurement supply chain management or related areas.



Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Great aptitude and attitude towards learning. Take full responsibility for task execution. Ability to prioritize own work and respect deadlines.
