As we continue to expand our operations we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician Intern to join our dynamic team.
About the Role:
As an Electrical Technician Intern at iNet Africa you will play a crucial role in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of our diverse service offerings. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of safety efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design install maintain and repair solar power systems and power backup solutions in residential and commercial settings.
- Install configure and maintain CCTV systems ensuring optimal operation and integration with other security and monitoring systems.
- Work on the installation and maintenance of poles and masts for various infrastructure projects including CCTV camera mounting and positioning.
- Conduct detailed site surveys to plan the most effective installation strategies for equipment and wiring especially for solar and power backup systems and CCTV networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to solar power power backups electrical systems CCTV systems and structural supports.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to design and enhance solar and power backup systems as well as security and surveillance solutions ensuring they meet industry standards and local regulations.
- Offer technical support and training to customers and team members on solar and power backup systems as well as CCTV operation and maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects including installation maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or a related field with specialized training in solar and power backup systems.
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience as an electrical technician with a focus on solar power and power backup installations as well as experience working with poles masts and CCTV systems.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems solar technology power backup solutions structural supports and CCTV systems.
- Knowledgeable about electrical safety standards building codes and renewable energy regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to guide and support customers and colleagues.
- Must be comfortable working at heights with experience in safely climbing and working on poles masts and other elevated structures.
- Valid driver s license and clean driving record.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or a recent graduate, preferably in a relevant field. A strong interest in pursuing a career in customer service or support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle stressful situations gracefully. Self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering quality work. Capable of working effectively both in a team and independently. Proficient in basic computer applications and eager to learn new software and systems. Positive outlook and a genuine interest in helping others. Residency in Malindi is required.
