Our Client, a highly successful and growing firm of accountants based in Maidstone is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team. The practice provides a holisticaccounting service to their clients across accounts, tax payroll, bookkeeping, CIS and VAT and services clients of all sizes across a range of sectorsincluding manufacturing, professional services, marketing, sales, healthcare, start ups ect.
This is apivotal payroll position where you will report in to the Partners and have full autonomy of thefirms payroll department. There is also scope to get involved in other areas of the practice too, should you wish, such as bookkeeping, vat etc. This practice promotes a fantastic work life balance and hybrid working.
- Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
- Support the team with processes relevant to payroll, including starters and leavers.
- Ensure accurate information is obtained from clients to validate payroll data.
- Assist with maintaining pension records, including processing payroll payments and statutory reductions.
- Complete year-end processes and submissions.
- Managing queries related to tax, benefits, salary, allowances.
- Act as a mentor to junior members of the team.
- Support the Partners with networking and business development opportunities.
Requirements
- The idealcandidate for the positions will have either bureau oraccountancy practice payroll experience.
- BeCIPP qualified, partqualified orqualified byexperience.
- Haveexperience indealing with amix of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Be hard-working and up for a challenge inafast-pacedworking environment.
- Have good software andtechnical payrollknowledge.
