Job Title: Process Plant Operator

Department: Process Plant

Reports To: Front Line Supervisor and/or Plant Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plant Operators play a vital role in the organization s operations and sales efforts by processing and packaging ore to be shipped and delivered to AGC s global market. Plant Operators work as a crew, individually completing tasks carefully designed to contribute to the efficiency of the team. To continuously modernize processes within the organization, plant operators are responsible for identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies and offer solutions to challenges in the plant. Plant operators will:

Operate processing and packaging machinery.

Operate forklifts and other plant equipment.

Prioritize safety.

Have an active role in meeting production goals.

Demonstrate innovative thinking through shared process improvement ideas.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

MSHA certification or the ability to obtain once hired.

Valid driver s license. CDL preferred.

Work Hours and Environment

Standard work week will be Monday Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Must be available to work overtime shifts that may include weekend and evening hours when necessary to meet production demands.

Most work is performed inside process plant with moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working at heights, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Some work will be outdoors in changing environmental conditions, rain, wind, snow, hot or cold weather.

Working conditions in the plant are dirty, dusty, greasy. AGC provides employees with laundered uniforms and on-site shower facilities.

Will be subject to noisy work environment.

Physical Demands

Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job, with or without accommodations.

Climb on and off equipment frequently.

Perform work at elevated areas occasionally.

Must be able to lift and carry at 50 75 lbs.

Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.

Bending, crouching, driving, sitting, stooping, walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping are all requirements of the job.
