Medical Device Product Engineering Specialist

This is a leading company that focused on healthcare / medical and medical devices / diagnosis industries.

Job Summary:

The candidate will lead the design, prototyping, and testing of the company's main device platform, used in their unique biological manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Use CAD (Softworks) for design documentation.
• Apply familiarity of plastic materials, injection molding, and machined components.
• Generate new ideas and facilitate innovation to projects.
• Develop new features, improvements and applications for the company's medical devices.
• Design and test mechanical and electromechanical systems working with microfluidics and biological processes.

Qualifications:

• B. Eng in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of industry experience in product development.
• Expertise in design for injection molding and integrated electromechanical systems.
• Experience in managing and overseeing design tasks and development projects, including work with external partners.
• Willingness to relocate to Eastern ON (relocation assistance offered).
• In-depth experience with design and simulation tools: CAD, FEA, CFD.
• Ability to convert user needs to design specifications.
