Health And Safety Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Promote health and safety within the organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
• Supervise all projects activities and handing over process.
• Application of programs to remove the hazards from the work place and to correct unsafe work practices.
• Inspect and test Occupational health and Safety (OHS) tools, equipment, and documentations to make sure they meet safety regulations
• Make sure that personal protective equipment is being used in workplaces according to regulations
• Identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards and implement appropriate control measures
• Help supervise the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
• Design reporting templates for audit/inspections or any HSE Reports.
• Coordinate emergency procedures
• Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of any OHS violations, issues, near misses, ill-health and accidents
• Recommends or demands necessary action or procedural changes to correct areas not in compliance with regulations.
