Debt Collection Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Settle outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection target set

• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
• Skip tracing the debtors
• Build a professional communication bridge with the debtors
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Handle questions or complaints
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Create trust relationships with debtors when possible, to avoid future issues
• Update account status and database regularly
• Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
• Prepare professional report to the superiors about the collection portfolio

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven experience as debt collector
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Polite and compassionate approach without lacking confidence
• Self-motivated and have the passion to learn and work
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in both languages Eng/Arb
• Must have at least 1:3 years of experience
