About the job
Bank of Jordan, a renowned financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team. As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in assessing the creditworthiness and risk of our commercial loan applicants. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial statements, conduct credit investigations, and evaluate the repayment capacity of borrowers.

As a Commercial Credit Analyst, your expertise will contribute to the overall objective of maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other related documentation to assess the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants
- Conduct credit investigations, including verifying financial information and assessing collateral value
- Evaluate the repayment capacity of borrowers based on cash flow projections, industry analysis, and risk assessment
- Prepare detailed credit reports, including findings and recommendations for credit decisions
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with loan officers, relationship managers, and other internal stakeholders to gather relevant information and make informed credit decisions
- Monitor and review existing commercial loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies
- Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and changes in regulatory requirements related to commercial lending
- Participate in credit committee meetings and provide expert advice and recommendations on credit applications
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or underwriting
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment
- Experience in conducting credit investigations and assessing collateral value
- Familiarity with commercial lending practices and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of professionalism and integrity
