TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Accountant/ Accounts & Outsourcing Senior to join a highly reputable Top 40 firm of chartered accountants based in their Dartford office. This is a market leading accountancy practice who has a fantastic approach to accounting. They have a very successful team and a great working environment. They are very much focused on providing advice to their clients as well as the basic compliance services and they have a very hands on, holistic approach. Their clients are made up of good quality ltd companies and partnerships with turnovers up to 50m, and you will be offered fantastic exposure and client contact.
This position is situated within their accounts and outsourcing team, which works alongside the audit, and tax teams. You will get fantastic exposure, and lots of autonomy, where you can build long-lasting relationships with your clients.
This is a progressive and exciting position where you will have lots of opportunities to develop technically and progress in your career.
- Management accounts and statutory accounts preparation, to include:
- Ability to gain a detailed understanding of the client s business and liaise directly with business owners and management;
- Reviewing and understanding systems and controls and making appropriate recommendations;
- Analysing and commenting on the results including developing KPI s;
- Making business recommendations to the client;
- Producing budgets;
- Forecasting and cash flow forecasting using appropriate software and/or Excel;
- Preparing management reporting pack from client s software/trial balance.
- Statutory accounts preparation including year-end adjustments and accounts disclosures, from Trial Balance or books and records, and preparation of corporation tax computations for review by tax specialists;
- Communicate directly with clients;
- On-site client work.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice completing accounts preparation
- Experience of using Caseware, Iris, Sage, Xero or Quickbooks
- Strong Excel skills
- Positive working mentality
- Organised and methodical worker with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills across all levels within a business

- 35,000 - 45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
