Cutting Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated fabric cutting machines safely and efficiently as per production requirements.
• Perform accurate fabric cutting based on approved patterns marker plans and technical specifications.
• Prepare and align fabric layers properly before cutting to ensure precision and minimize errors.
• Inspect fabric for defects damages or inconsistencies before and during the cutting process.
• Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions to achieve daily production targets.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in cut components for smooth downstream stitching and assembly operations.
• Minimize material wastage through efficient cutting practices and proper fabric utilization.
• Label bundle and organize cut fabric pieces for transfer to stitching and production departments.
• Maintain cutting machines tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Assist in routine machine cleaning preventive maintenance and housekeeping activities.
• Coordinate with pattern makers designers and production teams regarding cutting requirements and clarifications.
• Maintain records of cut quantities fabric consumption and production outputs when required.
• Adhere to company health safety and quality standards at all times.
• Participate in KPI reviews performance evaluations and development initiatives within the department.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management to support operational objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school education or relevant technical/vocational training preferred.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in fabric cutting or garment manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience operating Bullmer Autocutter Machines is mandatory/preferred.
• Experience working with different fabric materials and garment production processes.
