The Cargo Delivery Clerk is responsible for coordinating and documenting the receipt and delivery of cargo ensuring accurate records compliance with procedures and smooth coordination between transporters warehouse/yard teams and clients.
Requirements
- Process cargo delivery and receipt documentation (delivery notes gate passes invoices)
- Verify cargo details against manifests and delivery documents
- Coordinate with transport drivers warehouse/yard staff and operations teams
- Ensure correct cargo is released and delivered to authorized parties only
- Maintain accurate records of cargo movements and deliveries
- Update cargo logs and tracking systems
- Report discrepancies damages or missing cargo immediately
- Ensure compliance with safety security and company procedures
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and controlling cargo flow
- Support audits and inspections related to cargo documentation
Required Skills:
Required Qualifications & Experience High school certificate / Diploma (Logistics or Business preferred) 13 years experience in cargo handling logistics or warehouse operations Experience in port yard or shipping operations is an advantage Basic computer skills (MS Excel cargo systems)
