At DeviantArt we believe every pixel and every word should inspire creativity. Were looking for a UX Writer to join our team to help craft intuitive experiences for millions of artists and art enthusiasts.
You are a tech-savvy wordsmith with a passion for writing and the English language. You excel at writing in an established voice and tone with ease and you understand the the Internet. Youll partner with Product UX and Engineers to build end-to-end flows. Youll own the copy for UI components onboarding journeys error states and empty states. You have an amazing attention to detail. Not only did you catch the error a few sentences ago but you also cringed when you saw it. You have a sense of humor!
Key Responsibilities
Own every stage of the UX content cycle from research and brainstorming to crafting first drafts to entering copy into our content management systems through to the QA stage where youll ensure the perfect copy has made it to launch
Collaborate between product UX dev and stakeholders to launch an excellent product shaping raw data into riveting fun user experiences all within the confines of the stated brief and under tight deadlines
Maintain and seamlessly employ copywriting tone and style standards in DeviantArts brand voice
Help plan and configure AI writing tools for Product Managers UX Experts and Product Marketing Managers to input feature specs and receive instant brand-aligned UX copy and microcopy.
Juggle multiple projects at once while owning and prioritizing your tasks meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of organization and follow-through
Qualifications :
Speak and write native-level English and will submit your CV / résumé in English
Are a writing professional who knows how to collaborate with a product team and launch an excellent product under tight deadlines
Have 3-4 years of experience writing professionally for a tech company online publication or digital marketing/ad agency
Have hands-on experience using AI writing tools and building and deploying AI-driven workflows. You are well-versed in working with LLMs (like GPT-4 or Claude) or third-party platforms (like Jasper Writer or ).
Embody cool-headed adaptability and eagerness collaborating with stakeholders and incorporating feedback into revisions
Have discipline with time-management follow-through and ownership of the product from start to finish.
