Job Description:
The Bid Manager leads directs and oversees the end-to-end bid and proposal process ensuring the delivery of highquality compelling and compliant submissions that maximize the organizations chance of winning. This role combines strong technical understanding with commercial acumen to craft winning proposals that align with client needs and organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and formalize the bid process including budgeting staffing and administration.
- Define overall bid strategy in partnership with the Sales Lead.
- Analyze bids at all stages to maximize client success.
- Improve Bid Management services for Sales Opportunity and Account teams.
- Identify value drivers and develop clear value messaging and positioning.
- Create proposition plans including value mapping phasing and resource planning.
- Ensure consistency quality and compliance across all proposal documents.
- Lead storyboarding and structure compelling proposal narratives.
- Monitor risks and provide regular bid status updates to management.
- Build and lead multidisciplinary bid teams (Solution Architect Risk Manager etc.).
- Handle complex interactions with executive-level internal and client stakeholders.
- Manage escalation processes for large bids with Sales Operations and Sales Management.
- Apply strong project management meeting facilitation and negotiation techniques.
- Ensure highquality written proposals and prepare the team for oral presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering IT or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years in leading complex bids/proposals.
- Outstanding English communication both verbal and non-verbal.
- Strong technical understanding and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
- Skilled in risk assessment solution shaping and value proposition development.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and negotiation skills.
