  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets forecasts and financial projections in coordination with department heads.
  • Monitor cash flow manage working capital and provide timely reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations including VAT PAYE and corporate income tax filings.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities revenue trends and performance variances.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Utilize financial software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP or similar) to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Assist in the evaluation of financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA CFA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • 25 years of progressive experience in finance accounting or financial reporting within a corporate or technology environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting budgeting and forecasting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
