Job Summary

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries journal entries and account reconciliations.
Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Support the preparation of annual budgets forecasts and financial projections in coordination with department heads.
Monitor cash flow manage working capital and provide timely reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations including VAT PAYE and corporate income tax filings.
Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities revenue trends and performance variances.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
Utilize financial software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP or similar) to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Assist in the evaluation of financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA CFA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
25 years of progressive experience in finance accounting or financial reporting within a corporate or technology environment.
Strong proficiency in financial reporting budgeting and forecasting.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
