Responsible for the electrical installation support commissioning team troubleshooting testing analyzing and training of Syntegon packaging equipment and associated products.
Primary focus is to provide customers with excellent technical customer service and ensure complete satisfaction. This position has a direct and significant impact on maintaining our customer base as well as growing new business for Syntegon Technology Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in internal and external training in order to maintain and further develop
level of technical expertise and proficiency.
- Provides assembly installation startup and commissioning support at Syntegon and customer sites including modernization upgrades.
- Provides electrical service work including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance at customer sites.
- Train customers on proper operation machinery updates/modifications maintenance and safety rules of packaging machinery.
- Represents the company to customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Maintain and contribute to a well-organized working environment at both company and customer facilities.
- Observes all safety regulations and informs supervisor of any safety issues or hazards.
- Process detailed expense and trip reports on all service visits in a timely fashion.
- Work in tight quarters; on top of and underneath equipment. Stand stoop kneel and bend continuously while working on equipment (65% of the time).
- Lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Travel up to 80% domestically and internationally which requires nearby proximity (within 50 miles) to a major metropolitan airport and may require residence in a specific geographic area to better serve a specific customer base.
Qualifications :
NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a bachelor degree of Faculty of Engineering; Electrical or Automation
- Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience in the packaging industry or comparable automated industrial equipment.
- Must be an expert in PLC programming S7 HMI systems servo drives motion controllers and troubleshooting
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with PCs and Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner with other functions and foster teamwork.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong electrical aptitude detail oriented.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities and deadlines.
- Allen Bradley Siemens or Beckhoff experience is a plus.
- Additional language skills a plus but not required
