Job Summary:
The Valve Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to the maintenance refurbishment and servicing of control and manual valves. The role involves leading a team of valve technicians during normal operations and shutdown periods ensuring that all valve repair and maintenance work is performed safely efficiently and in compliance with quality standards. The Valve Foreman must possess strong technical knowledge leadership ability and decision-making skills to diagnose troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate valve technicians and maintenance teams during routine and shutdown operations.
Plan assign and monitor daily work activities related to valve removal installation servicing and refurbishment.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures technical standards and quality control guidelines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in control and manual valves identifying causes and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct inspection and functional testing of valves to verify proper operation before and after maintenance.
Maintain accurate records and reports of valve maintenance testing and repair work.
Ensure availability of tools equipment and materials required for maintenance operations.
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
Communicate effectively with engineers supervisors and client representatives regarding work progress and technical issues.
Lead and manage the valve servicing team to meet deadlines during plant shutdowns or maintenance turnarounds.
Verify that all work areas are kept clean and organized after completion of activities.

Requirements
Requirements:
Education: Technical or vocational qualification in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in control and manual valve refurbishment repair and servicing including at least 23 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of various valve types and mechanisms (ball gate globe check control valves etc.).
Proficiency in valve disassembly reassembly testing calibration and troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret technical manuals drawings and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with industrial shutdown and turnaround operations.
Other Skills:
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and reporting in English (verbal and written).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred): Site-specific safety training such as H2S Confined Space Permit-to-Work or equivalent industrial certifications.
