Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Safety Engineer (Foreigner) with a proven track record in managing comprehensive safety operations in large institutional facilities such as university campuses. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in implementing safety protocols aligned with international standards and capable of integrating defense-related safety directives to ensure a secure compliant and hazard-free environment for students staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop implement and oversee safety programs and policies tailored for large facilities (e.g. universities or government complexes).
Enforce and align safety practices with defense and institutional safety regulations.
Conduct safety audits inspections and risk assessments across all departments and infrastructure.
Review safety documentation and verify compliance with fire safety emergency preparedness and hazardous materials handling.
Train staff and stakeholders on health safety fire prevention and emergency response protocols.
Monitor and investigate safety incidents accidents or near misses and implement corrective/preventive measures.
Collaborate with maintenance facility management and external defense authorities for safety coordination.
Maintain safety records prepare detailed reports and ensure documentation for compliance purposes.
Lead periodic safety drills and simulations in coordination with emergency services and civil defense.
Advise management on best practices new safety technologies and continuous improvement strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (preferably Safety Civil Mechanical or Industrial Engineering).
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent internationally recognized safety certification.
NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent safety training certification is mandatory.
Minimum 5 7 years of experience in safety management including at least 3 years in large facility projects (university campuses military installations etc.).
Familiarity with defense protocols and civil defense requirements in the Middle East (preferred).
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of international and regional HSE standards (e.g. OSHA ISO 45001 NFPA).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and incident investigation skills.
High-level communication and interpersonal skills to interact with multicultural teams.
Ability to interpret technical safety drawings reports and instructions.
Leadership and team coordination skills to drive safety culture across departments.
Proficiency in report writing MS Office tools and safety management software.
