About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Wind Technical Engineer (Lead Engineer) to lead the technical scope of wind energy projects from our regional HQ with travel to project sites and client locations as needed. This is a seniorlevel technical leadership role within a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on project development design coordination and technical assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all technical elements of onshore wind projects.
- Review wind resource assessment turbine layout and energy yield studies.
- Provide engineering oversight on wind farm design technology selection and optimization.
- Coordinate with OEMs EPC contractors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and client requirements.
- Contribute to technical documentation and support the bid team during proposal stages.
- Travel to project sites and client meetings when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Renewable Energy or a related engineering field.
- Masters degree and/or specialized training in Wind Technology or Project Management (preferred).
- Professional certifications related to wind energy will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 15 years of overall engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the wind power sector with EPCs IPPs or OE firms.
- Prior experience in a similar capacity on utilityscale wind energy projects.
- Familiarity with wind energy software such as WAsP WindPro and energy modeling tools.
- Strong technical writing stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
