VAM Systems is currently looking for Data Center Operator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:
Qualifications and Experience
Essential (Minimum)
- University Degree in IT from a recognized university or institution
Desirable (Optional)
- IT certification
- A minimum 1 year of work experience in IT
- A job that involves interacting with customers
Skills:
Essential (Minimum)
- Very good command in English (Both writing & speaking).
- Customer service awareness and skills.
Desirable (Optional)
- Fluent in English
- Business Professional Language
Knowledge

- Installation/Configuration/Support

- Able to resolve IT issues efficiently

Duties:
- To support Data Center 24x7 on shift basis) and maintain high quality and professional standard.
- Responsible for monitoring controlling and/or settingup data center resources in accordance with established procedures within a Data Center. Monitor activities and applications effectively utilizing software tools.
- Troubleshoots issues that may cause system outages & report on any issues to support groups when necessary. Initiates corrective action promptly. Interfaces with necessary customers and/or business support groups and escalates issues to appropriate persons accordingly.
- Monitor and verify the UPS Fire Alarms. Monitors the physical environment in which computer systems are housed. Ensures the security of the environment and that the environment is adequate for optimal system performance. If not coordinate with support groups to get them working.
- Receive monitor and process all batch processing tasks for failures and scheduling problems jobs.
- of all backup tasks for various Operating Systems applications and Databases as per the procedures and instructions.
- Execute and monitor all data center scheduled activities and jons
- Act as first level Service Desk support to solve certain technical and/or customer problems within scope of defined standards. Log and classify received Incidents Undertake an immediate effort in order to restore a failed IT Service as quickly as possible.
- Handle incidents and keep all concerned parties informed about status at agreed intervals.
- Resolve customer reported IT problems remotely as being first/second level support and provide proper guidence to callers inquiries.
- Following the process and procedure in place and recommending any required changes based on experience in handling and reported issues.
- Ability to handle multitask and support various users at once. Must be capable of following a job to completion.
- Conduct adhoc assignments and projects as directed by the management based on the business requirements.
