Policy Patient Engagement and Communication Lead Algeria

Role: The Policy Patient Engagement and Communication position will play a critical role in strategizing developing and implementing policies and programs to effectively engage patients and stakeholders while ensuring clear and impactful communication. This position will work closely with internal teams and external partners to shape public health policies drive patient-centered initiatives and enhance communication efforts. Carrying out this role requires ongoing interaction and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including government officials payors and patient groups. As well they will be responsible for the planning and execution of patient engagement activities within thebusinesspriorities the global PE strategy and the best practices and resources internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development

Responsible for building and maintaining influential relations with government officials political decision policymakers and other stakeholders at various levels in support of the companys objectives to create and maintain open communication lines secure information exchange constructive dialogue. Monitoring of policy and regulatory developments Improve business relationships at a macro perspective with influential policy makers within the Heath and Economic areas. Implements advocacy plans to seize opportunities and minimize threats that have a major impact on the business in the develops and provides alternative solutions and preferred approaches to policy challenges. Works with stakeholders to establish/shape policies. Supports existing planned policy projects by providing support and tools with considerable business end result. Serves as a subject matter expert in different CFT and when needed. Facilitates information exchanges relevant to policy initiatives between regions/countries and other groups (e.g. Corporate Responsibility Regulatory Legal Market Access Franchises etc.). Conduct research and analysis on healthcare policies regulations and industry trends. Develop evidence-based policy recommendations to improve healthcare outcomes and patient engagement. Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes that impact the healthcare industry. To act as our companys point person to trade associations and patient groups. To develop relationships with other pharmaceutical companies in the market and participate actively in the activities of professional associations.

Patient Engagement

Develop and implement strategies to engage patients advocates and other stakeholders in the policymaking process. Work closely with patient advocacy groups and community organizations to understand and address patient needs and concerns. Organize patient forums focus groups and surveys to gather feedback and insights. Ensure patient perspectives are incorporated into policy discussions and decision-making processes. Monitor and evaluate the impact of policy initiatives and communication strategies. Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of patient engagement activities. Prepare regular reports on policy progress patient engagement efforts and communication outcomes. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Communication and Outreach

Develop comprehensive communication plans to effectively disseminate information to target audiences. Create compelling content including press releases articles newsletters and social media posts. Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and engage in media relations activities. Coordinate public awareness campaigns and events to engage stakeholders and raise awareness of key issues.

Collaboration/Stakeholder Relationships

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including policy analysts researchers and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered programs and initiatives. Establish and maintain partnerships with NGOs government agencies industry stakeholders and patient advocacy groups. Represent the organization in meetings conferences and working groups related to policy patient engagement and communication. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and perspectives on policy development and implementation. Act as a liaison between the organization and external partners ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate/post-graduate academic degree in public health communications policy or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of Previous work experience in the healthcare sector. Knowledge of Algeria pharmaceutical market and in-depth knowledge and interest in health environment and economy is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare policy regulations and patient engagement principles.
  • Experience in policy development patient engagement or healthcare communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to assess policy implications and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead cross functional team and motivate peers to collaborate.
  • Ability to understand complex political and inter-personal situations and be able to influence their dynamics and outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written as well as oral) results-oriented project management facilitation and consultative skills to influence decision making are required.
