• Design and implement database architecture hybrid environments (on-premises and multi-cloud optimal performance and high availability (e.g. SQL Server Oracle MySQL PostgreSQL).
• Installation and configuration of database management system configured for optimal operation in line with organization policies. (Data Centers Azure. GCP)
• Manage centralized and distributed database systems ensuring synchronization and replication across the integrated datacenter and cloud platforms.
• Lead capacity planning performance tuning data lifecycle management backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Support databases used in sports venues clubs and sports event operations ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Oversee the performance of database services adjust parameters and pinpoint any bottlenecks affecting overall database performance.
• Ensure the databases of all organizations maintain high availability integrity backup recovery and compliance with security policies.
• Oversee user roles permissions and security at the database level.
• Implement data protection measures such as encryption masking and auditing.
• Track and address security breaches or vulnerabilities.
• Monitor growth patterns and forecast future database storage requirements.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell Bash and Python.
• Perform regular audits to maintain data integrity and security.
• Plan and execute strategies for high availability disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Keep documentation updated regarding database configurations processes and procedures.
Incident Management:
• Conduct a thorough investigation and diagnosis of the incident by analyzing the sequence of events.
• Assess the overall impact of the incident including the number and diversity of users affected.

• Review previous Incident/Problem Records Known Error Databases and Error Logs from manufacturers or suppliers for relevant information.
• Maintain communication with all relevant stakeholders until the incident is fully resolved.
• Implement and test the proposed resolution.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for escalated database and related infrastructure issues and work in partnership with service providers and vendors to address ongoing challenges.
Problem Management:
• Root Cause Analysis - investigate and identify the root causes of persistent database issues such as performance decline unsuccessful backups and locking or blocking problems.
• Trend Analysis - Analyze trends in database alerts logs incidents and performance metrics. Leverage this data to forecast possible failures and address vulnerabilities proactively.
• Fix implementation - Create and implement sustainable solutions to address underlying issues and apply and evaluate patches hotfixes or upgrades.
• Incident Review - Analyze incidents to differentiate between symptoms and underlying causes. Suggest infrastructure modifications as necessary (such as increased memory enhanced IOPS capacity or updated drivers). Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles to minimize recurring problems.
Change Management:
• Change impact analysis - Evaluate the effects of suggested modifications on database performance availability dependencies and data integrity.
• Communication - Notify the appropriate teams including application developers infrastructure personnel DevOps and business units. Attend Change Advisory Board meetings for approval if necessary.
• Change Testing - Conduct comprehensive unit integration and performance testing. Record all test outcomes and revise the change ticket as necessary.
• Change deployment - Implement the modification within a sanctioned maintenance period. Continuously observe logs and system performance in real-time throughout and following the deployment.
• Rollback procedure - Establish and evaluate a well-defined rollback strategy in the event of a failure and ensure that backups or snapshots are created prior to implementing any changes.
• Post implementation review - Perform a Post-Implementation Review (PIR) to evaluate the results and document any incidents or unforeseen outcomes
8 years experience in database administration both in data center and cloud (azure/gcp)
Handson experience in SQL Server (must) PostgreSQL MySQL and Oracle deployment and administration in Data Center Azure and GCP. SQL AlwaysOn implementation configuration and support in Data Center Azure GCP. Distributed Availability Group implementation configuration and support.
High Availability configuration of PaaS database services in Azure and GCP.
Windows Servers Administration hosting database services (Data Center/Azure/GCP)
Strong background in Windows Failover Clustering
Active Directory Configuration for SQL Server configuration
Education:
Bachelor of Information Technology
Certifications:
Certification in following technologies are required:
• Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Google Professional Data EngineerDatabase Management SQL Performance Tuning
Required Skillset:
Strong understanding of ITIL framework and experience working in incident problem and change-controlled environments and more.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory DNS Windows Servers Office 365 VxRail Windows DHCP Storage Networking NSX Virtualization (VMware) Server Patching and Azure Cloud Administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and integration
