Our client is seeking a highly experienced proactive and trustworthy Branch Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of their branch. This senior role is for someone hands-on sharp and dependable with strong experience in managing a team handling logistics finances and inventory. The Branch Manager will be the eyes and ears on the ground fully aware of every detail within the branch and proactively communicating updates without needing reminders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor delivery personnel routes and schedules to facilitate quick and accurate dispatch.
- Track delivery performance and delays resolving any issues that arise proactively.
- Keep delivery operations centered on customers and aligned with service-level expectations.
- Manage and coordinate truck movements to and from depots and supplier locations.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date logs of truck routes delivery timelines and cargo status.
- Troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Maintain an accurate and current record of stock inventory at the branch.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Monitor and manage the expiry dates of all goods ensuring that expired or near-expiry items are flagged rotated or removed as necessary.
- Efficiently coordinate reordering restocking and stock placement.
- Manage petty cash with integrity and keep thorough documentation of expenses.
- Maintain records of receivables and outstanding balances ensuring appropriate follow-up and collection.
- Provide accurate daily financial and operational reports to the Head Office.
- Act as the primary communication link between the Banga branch and the Head Office.
- Offer daily proactive updates on branch performance stock logistics and financials without needing to be asked.
- Escalate issues promptly and suggest suitable solutions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with local customers.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve complaints swiftly.
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities to expand the client base and drive sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify operational risks and promptly notify senior management.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the branch.
- Lead manage and inspire a team of 8 to 10 staff members ensuring high productivity and accountability.
- Implement and monitor processes to maintain operational discipline and effectiveness.

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in branch or operations management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of 8-10 staff.
- Strong multitasking planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with petty cash management and financial reporting.
- Strong background in logistics and delivery coordination.
- Experience in inventory management expiry tracking and warehouse stock control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
