Job Description
Job Title: Geophysicist
Location: Oman
Contract Type: 6-month contract (renewable)
Start Date: Mid-June
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Geophysicists to support a high-impact project focused on tight oil reservoirs. In this role you will analyse seismic data to characterize subsurface structures fracture networks and fluid behaviour. Your interpretations will be critical to designing effective drilling and completion programs and supporting field development planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret seismic data to identify key subsurface features and fracture systems
- Integrate geophysical data with geological models to support reservoir understanding
- Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to optimise drilling and completion designs
- Contribute to estimating production potential and developing field strategies
- Deliver actionable insights on fluid dynamics in tight formations
Requirements:
- Strong background in geophysical interpretation preferably in unconventional or tight oil reservoirs
- Hands-on experience with SeisWorks
- Familiarity with GeoFrame and Petrel platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
Contract Details:
This is a 6-month renewable contract based in Oman. Competitive rates and opportunities for extension are available based on performance and project needs.
