Responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the project ensuring effective management of contracts procurement budgeting and financial controls. This role require close collaboration with project teams clients contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery within the defined scope schedule and budget. The project is a priced contract with a bill of quantities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Contract management
- Draft negotiate and manage contracts with the client contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and any changes are documented and approved.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims promptly and effectively.
- Financial management
- Develop and manage project budgets forecasts and financial reports.
- Monitor project cash flows and ensure financial risks are managed effectively.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure the project remains within budget.
- Procurements
- Manage the procurement process and monitor.
- Valuations
- Review and manage the BOQs for the project.
- Ensure accurate measurements and quantification of all materials labour and equipment.
- Monitor and control costs.
- Variations
- Manage and negotiate project variations.
- Assess the impact of changes on scope schedule and budget.
- Ensure all changes are documented and justified to stakeholders.
- Risk Management
- Identify assess and mitigate commercial risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
- Communication and negotiation
- Reporting and documentation
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing contracts procurement BOQs and financial controls.
- Relevant certifications are preferred such as MRICs or PMP.
