Job Purpose
To manage and support IT programs and projects executed by the Business Applications Department including both inhouse developed and outsourced vendordriven solutions. This role requires strong project and budget management stakeholder communication and leadership in delivering highquality IT solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent IT projects in compliance with QGMS Processes and procedures.
- Conduct business analysis elicit requirements with SMEs and define project scope budget and schedule.
- Develop and maintain project plans schedules budgets and forecasts; track variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain technical design documents (UI wireframes architecture diagrams workflows etc..
- Ensure timely onbudget delivery of highquality solutions aligned with user expectations.
- Lead internal and vendor teams; manage tasks performance and timelines.
- Identify assess and mitigate risks and resolve project issues promptly.
- Coordinate with IT PMO report KPIs and contribute to portfolio governance.
- Support project procurement vendor evaluation and contract negotiations.
- Maintain uptodate documentation in enterprise project portfolio platforms.
- Organize project review meetings workshops and training sessions.
- Ensure all projects meet information security requirements and closeout standards.
- Assist with strategic transformation and change management programs.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum 10 years of postdegree experience in IT within large enterprises preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as MSc MBA are a plus.
Professional Qualifications & Skills
- 7 years as an IT Project Manager with at least 2 completed endtoend projects valued above USD 500K.
- Strong knowledge of PMI (PMBOK) methodologies; PMP certification is a plus.
- Agile project management experience; Agile certification is preferred.
- Proven business analysis experience; certification in Business Analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project EPM etc.
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure databases networks and enterprise systems.
- Experience in procurement SLA development and vendor management.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Certifications in BPM Six Sigma or process optimization are desirable.
