Position: Workshop Maintenance Planner
Purpose: This position is responsible for planning and coordinating workshop maintenance activities for the company's bus fleet ensuring efficient use of resources minimal downtime & compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to plan and coordinate workshop maintenance activities ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans & schedules for the fleet ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime
- Lead the planning and scheduling of all workshop maintenance & repair activities balancing fleet performance with operational requirements
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are prioritized effectively and completed within agreed timelines
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle downtime repair costs & maintenance backlog
- Analyze performance data identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency & reduce costs
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on maintenance performance budgets & KPIs for senior management review
- Manage and supervise the workshop planning team ensuring effective workload distribution & highperformance standards
- Monitor and manage the utilization of resources including labor materials & equipment to ensure efficient workshop operations
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of maintenance activities and equipment history
- Ensure compliance with Mowasalat's safety quality and regulatory standards overseeing the proper documentation & reporting on maintenance activities
- Collaborate with fleet management to understand operational needs and adjust plans to ensure fleet reliability
- Identify and resolve any issues in the planning & of maintenance activities
- Stakeholder Management and Leadership
- Provide leadership and support to the workshop planning team ensuring effective communication & task completion
- Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors & vendors for specialized services and support
- Build and maintain good customer & supplier relationships ensuring high levels of satisfaction and cooperation

Minimum Required Qualifications Certificates & Skills
Qualifications (e.g. Education)
- At least Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. engineering logistics operations management)
Work Experience (e.g. Number of years and field / role)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planning or logistics role preferably in a maintenance or transportation environment
Certificates & Trainings
Any relevant certification or training such as:
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Maintenance and Repair Management Certification
