As Junior Finance controller you are accountable for ensuring that costs were spent in accordance with the Budget and that invoices were validated in compliance with company audit rules. Based on your experience you will contribute to process optimization through IT tools implementation. Your Main tasks will consist in the following:
- Having good knowledge on the Budget cycle from preparation of Budget then Revision and finally Gap analysis with actuals
- Having good knowledge on the Purchase to pay process from validation of supply requisitions until processing invoices for payment in compliance with company audit rules
Responsibilities & tasks:
Budget Cycle:
- Work with budget holders for quarterly Budget estimation/review and proceed with Monthly budget KPI analysis and Year end Actuals vs Closing Budget analysis.
- Prepare Budget template as per agreed format and related slides for meetings with headquarters and state partner.
Purchase to pay process:
- Check purchase requests after Budget allocation and expense coding.
- Check invoices for payment after review of supportings and three way matching of purchase order/Delivery note/Invoice.
- Monthly costs Followup for progress made in projects and operations. prepare monthly accruals accordingly for costs not yet charged.
- Monthly costs Followup on technical assistance made by Headquarters and raise accruals for incurred costs not yet charged.
- Monthly Validation of stock movements for Opex/Capex material warehouse and prepare for periodic Inventory stocktaking.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in finance accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel Power Point and Power BI;
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas ERP (Microsoft D365 or S/4HANA are recommended).
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams including operations engineering and executive leadership.
- Acceptable level of accuracy in financial calculations reporting and documentation.
- Ability to followup on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Minimum experience 3 years with a multinational firm or extensive experience of 2 Years within a renowned Audit firm.
