Supply Planner

A Supply Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of a companys supply chain. They are responsible for optimizing inventory levels managing demand forecasts and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales marketing and other relevant departments to develop accurate demand forecasts for products or materials.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
• Production Planning: Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to create production plans that align with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
• Supplier Coordination: Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage the procurement process to ensure a consistent and timely supply of materials.
• Lead Time Analysis: Analyze lead times for materials and finished products to identify potential bottlenecks and implement strategies for improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess supply chain risks such as supply disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
• Data Analysis: Use data analysis tools and software to monitor supply chain performance identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
• Communication: Communicate regularly with various internal departments and external suppliers to ensure alignment and transparency in the supply chain process.
• Cost Optimization: Identify costsaving opportunities within the supply chain and implement costeffective solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics business or a related field (a masters degree may be preferred for more senior roles).
• Proven experience in supply chain planning or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
