JOB TITLE: Payload Design Engineer 4 Aerospace

LOCATION: Everett WA

PAY RATE: $84.00 per hour

Details:

• 12month contract with opportunities for extension

• The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Everett and Renton.

Summary:

• Develops integrates and documents interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

• Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

• Manages supplier performance test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals

• Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort

• Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

• Develops maintains and modifies interior payload system and component designs using 3D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups production operations suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree.

• 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

• Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.

• Payloads is seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

• Engineering support and project leadership within a production system

• Direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines

• Validating/demonstrating compliance to regulatory requirements

• Working with regulators

• Design for manufacturing

• Aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design integration and/or certification

• ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
