NET Web Developer II

Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).

Job Description:

This position is primarily to work on web application projects within the Family and Economic Support Technology Services (FESTS) section of DCF. The projects are underway and include .NET MVC .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET 6 web applications with Angular front end and some use of jQuery JavaScript and Kendo UI components. The candidate will be joining an existing team. The project is 80% modernized off of legacy mainframe applications to web applications using ASP.NET MVC with C# WebAPI ntier architecture and SQL Server. This developer will work on other projects as needed.

Responsibilites:

• The person in this position will work closely with the team in designing and developing the front end and server side of the web application.
• Project duties include requirements analysis design frontend and backend web application development testing participation in interactive code reviews and development using JavaScript Angular ASP.NET MVC with C# with SQL Server DB2 and Oracle databases.
• Expectations for this position are development of quality code using TDD participation in active code reviews sharing expertise respectful communication transparency technical documentation and the ability to perform production support.
• Preference will be given for familiarity with automated testing methodologies GitLab or Jenkins or other continuous integration platforms and solid coding experience using TDD.
• Knowledge of DCF programs prior experience with the Wisconsin CARES system and familiarity with Clients application systems procedures and development standards is highly preferred and familiarity with the DCF WWP application is a plus.
