Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daytoday operations of the downstream plant including the maintenance department (shop) by ensuring all operations are running efficiently and safely and that materials received and shipped from the yard are up to specifications and production is on target.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure production is on target
- Coordinate logistics of materials coming in and out
- Provide oversight of preparation of materials for shipping
- Manage the shop
- Responsible for yard being kept clean and safe
- Complete required forms/documentation for internal and external procedures
- Responsible for training all staff including proper usage of equipment general safety protocol
- Manage work schedules and ensure proper coverage of positions to ensure workflow is constant during business operating hours
- Collaborate with HR to recruit hire train and develop employees.
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Basic understanding of maintenance needs
- Ability to run heavy equipment with an aptitude to learn
- Sold knowledge of safety protocols
- Ability to make sound decisions and know when to ask for help when needed
- Ability to work MF and some Saturdays including flexibility to work additional hours if needed including early mornings late evenings weekends.
- Experience working in Metal Recycling with Ferrous and NonFerrous
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish.
