The OntheRoad Account Consultant is responsible for maintaining and expanding the relationships with our valued clients. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can effectively communicate with clients identify their needs and propose solutions that align with their business objectives. The consultant will be expected to travel regularly to meet clients attend industry events and stay updated with market trends.

PS: Training on Road Practices Products and Systems: Sessions will be conducted during regular hours as well as in the evenings or after hours utilizing Microsoft Teams for delivery.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in digital calendar management with administrative support available.
  • Strong computer skills required. Familiarity with the following software is essential: Online ordering system Skynamo for sales tracking OneDrive for file sharing Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to conduct client visits capturing orders in realtime or outside standard hours using our online ordering system.
  • Responsibilities during store visits include presenting new products checking equipment retail and professional stock merchandising troubleshooting (excluding training) highlighting products and providing additional value.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication organization administrative and multitasking abilities are crucial.
  • Proficiency in English is required; and Afrikaans (ideally).
  • Strong time management skills are necessary with a commitment to timely task completion and the initiative to seek assistance when required.
  • Competence in managing multiple communication tools and software such as WhatsApp email phone calls and online scheduling.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have direct sales experience specifically in the professional nail industry.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle a valid drivers license and insurance coverage for rental cars in case of emergencies (e.g. accidents or mechanical failures) are required.
  • Work schedule includes starting the first appointment at 8:30 AM and concluding the last appointment at 4:45 PM followed by a 15minute daily debrief with the sales team.
  • Attendance at bimonthly internal training sessions scheduled before or after standard work hours is mandatory.
  • Expected to conduct 5 to 8 client visits per day varying by the assigned region with appointments scheduled in advance for up to two months.
  • External employment or educational pursuits that might interfere with job responsibilities are not permitted.
  • The role requires flexibility due to travel; thus having family support for child care where necessary is advisable.
  • Smoking is prohibited during work hours.


The successful candidate will inherit a wellestablished client base and will oversee its management in alignment with the companys Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with guidance from the management team. A petrol card will be provided for travel related to work purposes only. Additionally a phone and tablet will be supplied complete with minutes and data designated for workrelated communications and tasks.

Benefits

Base Salary: R20000 gross monthly with a guarantee that compensation is not based on commission.

Additional Monthly Benefits (exclusive of the base salary):

  • Medical Aid Contribution: R500.00
  • Tyre Allowance: R900.00
  • Beauty Allowance for Nails: R200.00 from March to August and R300.00 from August to March.
  • Travel Reimbursement: R0.32 per kilometer applicable only for workrelated travel.
  • Petrol Card: Provided for business travel purposes.
  • Communication Tools: Companysupplied phone and tablet including minutes and data designated for workrelated communications and tasks.
