Technical Sales Lead
The position reports to: Regional Sales Manager
The role;
To maximize the profitable effective and recurrent sales of company s specialty ingredient solutions range in East Africa within the NonDairy category.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;
To be the key technical and business development point of contact for the company s principals the company s sales team and the company s customer base with respect to
ingredient solutions for the NonDairy Category in the region including but not limited to;
o Beverage Alcoholic & NonAlcoholic
o Jams & Sauces
o Bakery
o Confectionary
o Fats & Oils
Establish train mentor and manage a market leading team of technical sales resources for the NonDairy category capable of delivering on established sales targets and principal
objectives for the region
Become an expert in the technologies features benefits and application of the principal s products and solutions for the NonDairy category
Manage a portfolio of key accounts. Service retain and grow them and maximize crossselling opportunities for the business
Maintain a customer project database and work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop strategic sales plans for principals across the region
Develop and maintain a healthy and wellbalanced project pipeline
Plan and execute effective and appropriate trials of the principal s solutions in customer facilities to drive customer adoption
Understand and recommend pricing requirements based on market trends and account specific knowledge
Develop extensive knowledge of category trends technologies and applications in order to ensure the company is consistently offering its customers leading edge solutions
Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets
Represent Our company and our Principals with passion honesty and integrity at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications;
Bachelors degree in Food Science and Technology or a closely related field
Minimum 5 Years proven experience in the food industry required including demonstrated knowledge of food formulation and solution provision
Experience providing technical or applications support in the food industry
Knowledge & Skills;
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
Business development and sales conversion skills critical
Other;
Goal oriented highly organized team player
Demonstrated passion and skillset for selfdirected customer interaction effective customer development and problem solving activities.
Demonstrated passion for food science and interest in personal development within the field of food science
