Their mission is to unite 5 continents into 1 mission - to talk effectively with each other through a common language. They offer live, fun, and interactive online English lessons taught by a large pool of highly qualified teachers from all over the world using a shared economy approach. The 51Talk online education platform uses student and teacher feedback as well as data analytics to deliver a personalized learning experience to its students. The company has its headquarters in Singapore and also has offices in Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Manila, and Saudi Arabia.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Amman but some work from home is acceptable. We are looking for a Chinese speaker to join our team and help students successfully learn English online. The primary responsibility of the role is teaching students English using our online education platform. The role involves working with students of different ages and skill levels, and helping them achieve their learning goals.
Qualifications
- A fluent Chinese speaker with a strong command of English
- At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in a virtual environment
- A degree in teaching English as a foreign language or a related field is preferred
- Experience working with students of different ages and skill levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- A strong understanding of online education and virtual classroom management
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- A reliable computer, a camera, and a stable internet connection
