Purchasing Manager

Growing ManufacturingCompany in Greenwood MS has a need for a Purchasing Manager.We are seeking a highly motivated and organized PurchasingManager to join our team. As a PM you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials and ensuring the availability of resources for production. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical and problemsolving skills as well as excellent leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the procurement and inventory management processes
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to forecast material requirements and develop production plans
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Implement and maintain efficient systems for tracking and reporting on material usage costs and variances
• Lead a team of materials specialists providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field
• Proven experience in materials management or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management principles and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions
• Proficient in using inventory management software and ERP systems
• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively manage a team
