Responsiblity : • Evaluatingpatients’ medical histories to ensure the various medicalimaging procedures will not harmthem. • Suggesting alternative medical imagingtechniques, when necessary. • Informing patientsabout the medical imaging process. • Usingdevices such as computer tomography (CT) scanners and magneticresonance imaging (MRI) machines. • Performing ordirecting radiology staff to carry out image-guided, diagnosticprocedures. • Working with radiology labtechnicians to perfect imagequality. • Interpreting the results fromdiagnostic imaging procedures to determinediagnoses. • Communicating and discussing resultsand diagnoses with physicians. • Compilingwritten reports of results anddiagnoses. • Following medical protocols forresuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations,when necessary.
