On behalf of one of its clients, The French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Assistant Unit Manager.

Job Summary:
To supervise team on-site and assist the manager in-charge to carry out operational processes on-site, be responsible for the tasks assigned, producing work that meets management and client expectation and continuously work along side team (s) to improve efficiency and profitability of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that all the service deliverables are carried out as per the set standards and/ or terms and conditions agreed upon with the client and/ or contract.
Attend to day-to-day operational problems and needs concerning but not limited to equipment, staff, food supplies, documentation, safety, deployment and trainings.
Ensure that safety and hygiene policy in terms of implementation, reporting, documentation etc is strictly followed by self and other members of the team.
If required, work with the admin to oversee ordering of raw materials through WP system, validating the quality of the products ordered/ incoming goods and do stock take and checks.
Ensure that all the systems and processes are implemented and followed as per the company policy.
Wherever required, Co-ordinate with the HR, QHSE and Legal departments to ensure that all the legal compliances, certifications and accreditations are met with and a copy of the same is maintained.
Stay in close communication with the client for all issues assigned by the manager regarding services, additional business, new initiatives and hygiene and document the same.
Manage, documents and do the needful to attain/ maintain mandatory certifications/ accreditations such as Halal certification, NEA, BCP procedures, fire safety processes and conduct necessary audits (internal, external and contractual) on site.
Work with teams (assigned) to manage their rosters, deployments, overtime, productivity, initiatives, HR processes and welfare activities.
Play mandatory role in charting out training needs for the staff in various departments, maintain calendar/ documentation and train staff wherever applicable.
Promote a healthy and teamwork oriented atmosphere within his operations.
If required, be responsible for accurate control, handover and deposition of petty cash; maintain accurately all the specified petty cash control documents and claims.
Ensure all POS system are maintained, and generate daily Sales Report for Finance Reporting.
Coordinate with customers on adhoc event arrangement. Work closely with kitchen team on event arrangement. Ensure event setup and services are as per standard. Follow up closely with Order confirmation and Billing.
If required, be responsible for monthly reporting and cost analysis.
Work with various teams to gather customer feedback and perform service recovery whenever needed.
Work with management to do the needful when it comes to implementation of initiatives and internal programs.
Facilitate conflict resolution among staff, if needed.
Complete documentation and paperwork promptly without follow-ups.
To work school management and parents committee to collect feedback from parents and students and action planning
To interact with students during meal timings to resolve service discrepancy.
Any other duties as may be required by the Account Manager or the Management.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Food & Beverage Management or an equivalent educational qualification.
Possess at least 3 years of supervisory experience in Food Service industry or equivalent.
Candidates with Healthcare experience esp. in Food and HSE will be given preference.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and should be able to do simple data analysis, preparation of reports, charts, KPI, dashboard, presentations etc.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
An excellent team player.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to demonstrate great client relationship and understand contract management.
Well groomed and able to represent the client in a professional manner.
