Responsibilities
  • Strategy: Work as part of the Senior Management Team to develop the Tanzania sales strategy in line with the business plan as provided by the Board. The ultimate objective is to achieve a 40% occupancy rate on the operationalization of the warehouse in Tanzania and ramp this up by 10% per quarter.
  • Business Development: Develop a pipeline of target customers within the 5 target sectors and subsequently signup for Letters Of Intent equivalent to 50% of the storage capacity during construction and 6 months before operationalization of the facility.
  • Convert the letters of Intent to contracts equivalent to 40% capacity utilization of the warehouse by the opening date which is estimated to be in 2026.
  • Continuously grow the pipeline with new prospects and convert these into new customers and grow existing clients business to achieve a 10% increase in capacity every quarter post opening.
  • Identify and scope the appropriate solutions to meet customer goals deliver the proposed solution driving sales revenue expansion and profit expansion driving the sales process from initial client engagement to securing contracts.
  • Team Management: Actively recruit and manage the Tanzania Sales Team in line with the business strategy as developed by Management. Oversee Quarterly Monthly and weekly Sales Plans and KPIs. (Volume/Space Utilization Revenue per client Key sales drivers by sector size of client length of contract).
  • Systems/Process/Training: Set up and apply sales systems and processes for the sales team (Sales Plans CRM & Sales Dashboard Sales Cycle Documents Prospect Ranking Sales/Channels Analysis). Develop new sales hire training curriculum.
  • Key Account Management & Customer Service: Identifying pain points value levers and opportunities of onboarded and assigned accounts to secure customer satisfaction throughout the whole sales process while developing collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the company s overall business goals.
  • Contract Negotiation and RFP/RFQ preparations: Conducting competitor analysis to assist in developing the optimal pricing structure for company offering conducting pricing discussions contract negotiations and preparations contract filing and preparation of RFP/RFQs in line with customer requirements.
  • Budget: Prepare maintain adhere to and report on Tanzania s sales budget v/s actuals.
  • Data Analysis: Oversee analysis as pertains to sales markets channels and customer satisfaction. Conduct data analysis in addition to managing Sales Executives and come up with remedial actions for gaps identified.
  • Reporting/Forecasting: Produce weekly monthly quarterly and annual sales reports & forecasts for Tanzania storage and Logistics business
  • Brand Building & Networking & Marketing Communications: Cocreate the development of the company s initial marketing strategy with an emphasis on achieving market penetration and sales growth including but not limited to engagement in industrybuilding spaces to raise the commercial profile of the brand and expand the commercial network and partnerships with Industry Stakeholders and relevant Regulatory and Government Agencies and Authorities.


Requirements

Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor s Degree in BCom Marketing Business Management or similar qualification.
  • A drive to seek new business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Good IT skills
  • Selfdriven and good decisionmaking skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a commercial environment in sales and marketing
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience.
  • Strong Negotiation skills.
  • Business Intelligence with a wide business network
