Job Summary:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to be responsible for all payroll-related tasks. The Payroll Specialist's responsibilities include accurate processing and recording of the company s payroll and providing timely and accurate financial information.



Responsibilities:
  • Calculate the correct incorporating overtime, night differential, holiday premiums, deductions, adjustments, bonuses etc. with the assistance of computer system/payroll software;
  • Calculate manually payroll adjustments (e.g. overtime, night differential, holiday premiums, deductions, bonuses, etc.);
  • Responsible for producing an accurate semi-monthly payroll computation using payroll software (e.g. Sprout);
  • Prepares reports for government-mandated withheld deductions and contributions such as BIR, SSS, PHIC, and HDMF;
  • Process payments of tax and government contributions;
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors;
  • Prepare journal entries and reports related to payroll;
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely;
  • Process final pays of separated employees;
  • Responsible for maintaining all payroll records in accordance with the company policies and labor law regulations;
  • Remain current on any government legislations and/or rulings affecting compensation and benefits;
  • Prepare accurate tax annualization and alpha list of tax payables or refund of concerned employees;
  • Prepare 13th monthly pay accrual and 13th month pay of all deployed personnel as scheduled;
  • Perform other payroll related tasks as maybe assigned by the Immediate Superior.




Requirements

  • Preferably with 1 2 years of working experience asa Payroll Specialist or related role, but Fresh Graduates are also welcome to apply for the position
  • With or without experience in payroll software
  • BS/BA in business, accounting, or relevant field
  • Preferably with a basic accounting background
  • Understand payroll, tax, and related laws sufficiently to perform the job
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be willing to work after office hours when needed
  • Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
  • Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
  • Must be able to work from 8AM-5PM
  • Must be amenable to work in-office as required
