Overview:
TekWissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. Our client is a company operating a marketplace for consumers, sellers, and content creators. It offers merchandise and content purchased for resale from vendors and those offered by thirdparty sellers.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
-
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites.
-
QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 2-4 years industry experience testing software, including website applications.

Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java and SQL is desired, but not required.

Experience with Selenium (tool where QAs can write automated scripts) highly desired Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.

Team culture tighter timelines for team; a lot of engineering expertise (senior QAs) to help ramp up /senior-principal engineers there to mentor

Well experienced team in terms of distribution

50-60% autonomous running own testing

40% collaborative work (understanding product/ discuss defects and bugs etc)
Project Cicada:
-
NDA Retail experience customers buy and sell products
-
There is risk for delay in the completing the testing in time for Project Cicada, the launch date of 11/30 without additional QAE help requested.
Typical Day in the Role
Daily:
-
primary focus: testing; running through test case; creating test plans; analyzing bugs; triaging defects with developers; complete tests within SLAs
-
Hours working: depending on timezone; expect 9-6 availability in a sense (some overlap with west coast possibly)
