About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced FTTH Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and reliable FTTH Technicians to support fibre optic broadband deployment projects in Dar es Salaam. The technicians will be responsible for the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of Fibre to the Home (FTTH) connections for both residential and commercial customers ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Install route and secure fibre optic cables for FTTH connections
Perform fibre termination and splicing activities
Install and configure Optical Network Terminals (ONT) at customer premises
Conduct fibre testing using tools such as OTDR and power meters
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
Ensure all installations meet quality safety and company standards
Maintain accurate documentation of installations and maintenance activities
Provide professional customer service during on-site visits

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Telecommunications Electrical Engineering or related field

Proven experience in FTTH installation and fibre optic network deployment

Hands-on experience with fibre splicing termination and testing tools (e.g. OTDR power meters)

Familiarity with telecom or ISP environments is highly preferred

Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

1- 3 years of experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with ISPs or telecom network providers

Knowledge of network standards and safety procedures

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

ADDED ADVANTAGE

Willingness to travel within Dar es Salaam and nearby areas
Physically fit to handle fieldwork activities
