On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Supply Chain Management and Exports Manager Africa SATO.

SATO seeks an experienced professional to lead the end-to-end supply chain logistics and export operations across the African continent. The Manager will be responsible for optimizing the movement of goods from manufacturing sites to regional partners and customers ensuring cost-efficiency regulatory compliance and timely delivery to support SATOs mission.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in international trade customs clearance and managing complex distribution networks in both Anglophone and Francophone African markets
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain & Logistics Optimization (60%)
Develop and oversee the regional supply chain strategy to ensure the seamless flow of SATO products across Africa.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers freight forwarders and warehousing partners.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead times shipping costs and inventory accuracy.
Implement and maintain digital tracking tools to provide real-time visibility into the movement of goods.
Support the day-to-day tracking of shipments across Africa ensuring the conversion of orders into successful deliveries.
Maintain and update a central database of logistics providers freight forwarders and clearing agents.
Compile data on shipping costs and lead times to produce monthly analytical reports on operational efficiency.
Export Management & Compliance (40%)
- Lead all export-related activities including the preparation of shipping documentation certificates of origin and compliance with regional trade agreements (e.g. AfCFTA).
- Navigate complex customs regulations and import/export requirements in various African jurisdictions to minimize delays and duties.
- Coordinate with the Global Partnership Team to support institutional procurement and humanitarian aid shipments (e.g. UNICEF USAID).
- Manage relationship management with government authorities and trade agencies in Francophone and Anglophone markets.
- Identify and organize the necessary documentation for international exports including invoices packing lists and certificates of origin.
- Support relationship management with customs officials and trade agencies particularly in navigating requirements for new markets.
- Track international and local procurement opportunities to ensure supply chain readiness for large-scale orders.
- Ensure all export activities remain compliant with international trade standards and SATOs internal protocols.
Requirements
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics International Trade or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 710 years of relevant experience in supply chain logistics or export management preferably within a multinational or FMCG environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Incoterms international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) MS Excel (Advanced) and project management tools like .
- Communication: English and French language fluency is required to manage regional stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Results-driven highly organized and capable of working with global teams across multiple time zones.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Willing to travel 20 - 30% of the time or as required.
