Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and detailoriented Housekeeping Manager to join a luxury resort based in Tanzania. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a strong background in fivestar hospitality exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for maintaining worldclass standards in cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead and supervise the housekeeping team ensuring high standards of performance and morale
Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear instruction to staff
Conduct training and development programs to maintain service excellence and safety compliance
Guest Room & Public Area Management:
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms suites and public areas
Ensure all spaces meet the resort s fivestar presentation and hygiene standards
Quality Control & Inspections:
Conduct routine inspections of rooms and public spaces
Address guest feedback and implement corrective actions as needed
Inventory & Budget Management:
Manage departmental inventory ordering and cost control of supplies
Assist with budget preparation and implement costsaving measures without compromising quality
Health & Safety Compliance:
Enforce compliance with sanitation and health regulations
Ensure safe handling storage and use of cleaning materials
Guest Satisfaction:
Address guest concerns or requests related to housekeeping services promptly
Continuously improve service delivery to exceed guest expectations
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Coordinate with front office maintenance and food & beverage departments to ensure smooth operations
Support event setups VIP arrangements and special requests as needed
Sustainability Practices:
Promote ecofriendly practices in the housekeeping department
Ensure adherence to sustainability goals and guidelines set by the resort
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of departmental performance inventory and guest feedback
Provide regular reports to senior management
Requirements and Qualifications:
3 5 years in a managerial or supervisory housekeeping role within a fivestar or luxury hospitality environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sound knowledge of housekeeping operations and safety procedures
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing walking or lifting
Degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
