Net Developer

Job Responsibilities:

The FullStack Web Developer will develop and maintain software applications. To do that the contractor will follow client standards for web development IT technologies programming languages and tools also preparing maintaining and referencing projectbase agreed technical user and functional specifications and documentations.

Tasks duties and responsibilities

* Develops websites and applications as per client strategy needs applying UX/UI concepts and principles client standards for web design technologies and tools following security and data protection schemes;
* Maintains upgrades or enhances existing user systems and integration of interrelated systems and program elements;
* Organizes and performs unit and integrated testing designing and utilizing test bases; assists users in acceptance testing;
* Interpret user requirements and translate these into systems specifications;
* Conducts research on new technologies as requested; keeps abreast of developments in the field; assists in testing and evaluating new products and technologies;
* Support in data visualization and data analytics (Business Intelligence) initiatives;
* Prepare technical and user documentation for products as well as training materials and conduct technical presentations;
* Maintain functional specifications for websites programs and procedures developed and/or modified;
* Provide support for deployed websites including version management data recovery and deployment;
* Trains staff on completed products.
* Performs other related tasks as required per client strategy

Outputs
The Web Developer is expected to fulfil the following goals:

* Completed project plan upon inception of project.
* Technical documentation and user manual for assigned projects including dataflow and entity relationship diagrams.

Progress reports with time sheets indicating the fulfillment/progress of requested projects/activities.

Final Source code/design/images/animations and all assets related to the products being developed.
* Any other related tasks as needed per UN ICT or ESCWAs strategy.
 

Qualifications :

Qualifications
* A minimum high school diploma with a certification or degree in Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science Computer Engineering or related area is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the computer software industry as core developer with proficiency in frontend languages and libraries (HTML CSS JavaScript) backend languages (C# SQL server and opensource data visualization libraries like Apache ECharts is required along with competency in C# and .NET Core.

The following skills are required:

* Knowledge in database design and development using MS SQL Relational Database
* At least 1 year of experience with version control tools such as GIT


The following skills are desirable:

* Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB)
* At least 1 year of work experience with Web API development
* Knowledge of Mobile application development
* Understanding of industry trends latest web development standards and technologies
* Analytical skills and attention to detail

English and French are the working languages. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
