A leading construction and engineering company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As the Chief Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. This is a seniorlevel position that requires strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial policies procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
Oversee the preparation of financial statements budget reports and other financial documents
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate and manage the monthend and yearend closing processes
Review and approve journal entries bank reconciliations and other financial transactions
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
Manage the companys cash flow and provide accurate cash flow forecasts
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure compliance
Lead and mentor a team of accountants providing guidance and support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a seniorlevel accounting role
Thorough understanding of accounting principles standards and regulations
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
Fluency in English both written and verbal
